Life and expectancy in men

Most Kenyans, especially men are car enthusiasts.

The care and attention they pay to their cars is amazing. They even know which car wash leaves their ride in a spic and span state.

They'll know the difference between a mechanic and a makanika.

They'll know when their car is making a strange noise and pop it in promptly for examination.

The human body is the best design that ever was. Even the sleekest German design does not come anywhere near the synchronised symphony that is the wonder of the human body.

I am still awed by this body the longer I work with and on it.

Men's bodies are simple yet tricky.

They work without much drama, and without much outward signs of wear and tear until the damage accumulates and then all hell breaks lose.

Men do not even have other indicators of health like menstruation, which for women can serve as an early warning system that something is wrong and they'll see a doctor about it.

Men do not get pregnant, a process that allows women to get proper medical attention.

Men do not take regular medications like contraceptives, which are also an opportunity for women to have contact with a healthcare provider.

Even women's magazines like Eve and Parents focus on the nitty gritty of health in women but when you open men's magazines they'll talk about how to choose a good pair of boxers and how to build big muscles like The Wolverine. And then they'll rank the hottest women from 1 to 100.

Men are at a glaring health disadvantage.

If you are a man over the age of 35, start thinking about a health check each time you take your car in for servicing.

It will cost you but it is worth it.

Men are being gaslighted by national figures who hide their health issues and even prefer to go abroad for more complex ones.

We have also normalised sudden death in men and yet nobody dies suddenly. The body sends out early warnings before the major catastrophe.

Here is a quick checklist:

1. If you cannot take 2 flights of stairs without running out of breath at the top, speak to a health provider.

2. If you are snoring at night, speak to a health provider.

3. If you can no longer kick a football with your friends without feeling like your heart is about to jump out of your chest after only 15 minutes, speak to a doctor.

4. If you have changed the size of your trousers twice in one year, and thrice since you finished university, speak to a doctor.

5. If you cannot do a brisk walk on the level while speaking in full sentences, speak to a doctor.

6. If you do not know your blood pressure, your cholesterol and your blood sugar (also known as HbA1c) speak to a doctor.

7. If you smoke, stop. Now. This is not a suggestion but an instruction.

8. If you drink more than 2 bottles of beer daily, if you drink until you black out, if you binge drink, if all of your social engagements have alcohol, speak to a doctor.

9. If you cannot remember the last time you took time out to just rest. Not taking annual leave to go and supervise some other project or chase side hustles, I mean just rest. Book 2 weeks off and rest. And switch off the news too during this time. The world will still be on fire when you plug back in.

10. If you have no plan on when you are going to retire, make that plan now. And make it earlier than the government mandated one if you can.

11. If you have more lifestyle left at the end of the money each month, start doing aggressive lifestyle shrinking.

12. Have meat-free days in a week; at least 3. Reduce your carbs while at it. Everything does not need to have ugali and rice. You can have your meat and vegetables and be good to go.

13. Simplify your life. You do not need that extra car, you do not need that extra wife, you do not need to start that 5th side hustle. You do not need to run for MP. Less is more.

14. Learn a new skill. Eg learn how to play chess, the rules of cricket,  install Duo Lingo and learn a new language, download Audible and listen to audio books. This keeps your brain cells active and prevents premature dementia.

15. Maintain a healthy weight. Your waist circumference in cm should be less than half of your height in cm. Do not let people butter you up by telling you that you look successful because you've put on weight. You just look out of shape, stuffed in a nice suit.

16. Erectile dysfunction, unless proven otherwise, is an early warning system of cardiovascular disease. The tiny blood vessels in the penile tissue are getting clogged up by cholesterol plaques and soon the big vessels in the heart will follow suit, leading to heart attacks. Do not pop viagra before a doctor has fully assessed the problem, starting with a blood test for testosterone levels.

17. Get mental health support. Even men cry. Speak to a trained mental health professional even if you think there's nothing wrong with you. You'll be shocked by what a professional can uncover.

18. Define your identity away from your job, your money, and your status. This will protect you from crashing if the status symbols were ever lost.

19. Forge true friendships and connections. Men on average have fewer friends than women and it negatively impacts them especially after retirement. Loneliness is a significant contributor to early death.

20. Become close to and befriend your family. Do not overwork to provide material things and ignore the fact that the family wants the gift of you as well. Set the rhythm and the tempo of your family. Ignore gender roles and change the nappies, and sing the babies to bed, rush to the crying child who has fallen and comfort them. It does men a lot of psychological good to provide nurturing too.

21. Ask to be loved and to be supported. Men find it hard to say 'I feel unloved and unsupported by you' to their significant other. Please ask for the love language you understand best. Your partner might think that they are cooking for you and that should be enough. Articulate what else you need and you might find that your partner was equally desperate to know how to love you right.

22. Take care of your finances in your younger years. Kuchafua meza every weekend will leave your pockets empty. In older age, this will come back to haunt you and force you to keep working when the body and mind are no longer robust.

23. See a doctor every year even if you think there's nothing wrong with you. See a dentist and an optician every 2 years.

24. If all else fails, compare yourself to your car and care for yourself like a lambourghini. Because you are.

Let's stop losing men to premature deaths. It is an alarming trend that needs to be reversed.

Sijui watu wafungue men's health clinics, coz men are under siege

Dog breeding and training business in kenya

The dog business is slowly gaining popularity. I have got many inquiries on dog breeds, breeding and making money from the business.

So what does it take to run the business?

For the real business-minded people, the idea of starting a dog breeding and training business in Kenya will sound like a heaven-sent gift. First, the business does not have seasonal fluctuations. Secondly, if you are really passionate about it you can even start with NO monetary capital. Thirdly, no formal training is required which means you can start as soon as you are ready to get going.

“I was lonely and poor. I noticed that our dog called Tusker followed me wherever I went. As insecurity was high in the village and people reared dogs to guard their homesteads, I started training Tusker and he shocked me with his intelligence,” says Wainaina.

Six years down the line, Wainaina has now relocated to Thika, where he owns a dog-training firm called ‘Wainaina’s Redemption’. He trains dogs and sells them to security firms, schools and companies. Each carnivore goes for as much as Sh.120,000.

In a month, he sell at least 10 dogs. With the average cost of one trained mature dog going for Sh.50,000, he can pocket Sh.500,000 a month. While starting a dog breeding business requires less capital than other ventures, there are some key pointers one should take note of.

You ought have interest in the project and love dogs.  There is also need to do proper research of the breed that suits your needs and to build a well-structured kennel.

Dog breeds can be large, medium and small breeds.

Dog breeds

The most popular breeds in Kenya are the German Shepherd, Rottweiler, English Springer Spaniel and Labrador Retriever. Lately the little ‘toy dogs’ such as the Maltese, Chihuaha and Pomeranian are coming into the market.

When starting a dog-breeding venture; don’t just judge a dog by its looks.

Be updated on breed trends and conduct a feasibility study on the environment, location, lifestyle of your target market and importantly, the legal requirements for a dog breeding business.

There is also the need to ensure you have a file of the veterinary records of your dogs, especially the shots its already had and the dog’s registration paper.

Have all the dog’s documents, which include medical history, proof of registration, and other items up-to-date at all times. This is required for customers who expect proof of pedigree and some even ask for a picture and records of the mother.

Getting a rare colour like white and silver-grey or a champion breed sets you apart from the rest of the sellers.

Get Dog Trainers Training

Dog trainers training is offered on an apprentice basis and NO FORMAL TRAINING is required. Past experience in a dog training facility and the disciplined service e.g. ex-NYS or local security companies can be a big boost.

Do This Simple Market Survey

The reality of the market is that you need to go where the demand is high. Population density and dog-ownership percentages go hand-in-hand. A related consideration is that the demand for dog training services is high in urban areas than rural areas with Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Embu, Nakuru and Thika towns topping the list.

Identify a Market Gap

It‘s very easy to see if your market has a gap to be filled. If you notice most trainers in the area are usually busy for weeks or even months ahead, it means demand for services currently exceeds supply and hence you can join in.

Remember, even if there is no gap in a market, you can still join in by adding a differentiating factor to your services. For instance, door-to-door services, boarding facilities or even free blog tips on dog care can significantly make you stand out.

Start With Few Puppies

If you want to become a breeder cum trainer, it goes without saying you will need to keep a few dogs. You can talk to other local breeders (the East Africa Kennel Club is a good reference point) so that you can book puppies with them. Good dog breeds include:

Boxer

Great Dane

Labrador Retriever

Rottweiler

German Shepherd

Golden Retriever

Chihuahua

Japanese Spitz

Build Kennels

As you wait for the puppies to be delivered, build a few kennels. For instance, you can start with 5 boarding kennels and 1 warm maternity kennel.

Get the Word Out

Print out a few brochures and drop a few batches at busy shops and agro-vets in your target area. Put your contacts up in one of the many free classified ads websites e.g jiji.co.ke.

Also do a bit of social media sensitization. Create for you dogs a Facebook page, Instagram account and a TikTok account. Post some videos and pictures of your dogs and tell people on how they can reach you.

Services You Can Offer

Some of the services you can offer include:

Dog training services – obedience and aggressive training, potty training, guard dog training (Average Price: Ksh.30,000)

Dog breeding services – breed puppies and sell them after training (Average Price: Ksh.10,000 – Ksh.50,000)

Dog boarding services – when dog owners want to travel they can leave their dogs with you (Average Price: Ksh.500 per dog, per day).

How Much To Invest

If you are short of starting capital, you can start off as purely a freelance dog trainer and in that case you will not require any monetary capital, just sweat capital and a hustler‘s attitude.

You can however consider widening your opportunities by venturing into the more lucrative dog breeding business.

Kennels – Ksh.20,000

Puppies – Ksh.100,000 (Pure breed)

Dog food – Ksh.10,000

Marketing – Ksh.10,000

City Council Dog License – Ksh.1,000 (Rate applicable in Nairobi City Only)

Miscellaneous – Ksh.20,000

Ideal Budget – Ksh.150,000 to Ksh.200,000.

How Much To Expect

On average, an established trainer and breeder makes between Ksh.100,000 to Ksh.500,000 per month.

Final Word

Contrary to popular opinion, starting a dog breeding and training business in Kenya isn’t that complicated. You only need to be passionate about the hustle and ready to do what it takes to get going. What’s stopping you?

As we always tell you, there’s no marathon race that has ever been won by those who did not start the race. If you like the idea discussed above and you have what it takes to actualize it…then don’t wait to start…just do it.

How to start a profitable bookshop business in kenya

When the Narc government took over in Kenya in 2003, free primary education in public primary schools was launched all over the country.

This increased the number of pupils attending schools countrywide. As a result of this, and in addition to the increasing number of private schools, adult readers, secondary and college students, the demand for books dramatically increased in the country.

Though electronic books, audio books and digital magazines have come into use, many people still enjoy buying and reading traditional, printed books.

It is estimated that the government pays fees for more than 10 million pupils in primary schools and about 2.1 million students in secondary schools.

A total of Sh.670 is budgeted for each primary school pupil to cater for textbooks, instructional materials and facilitation of internal examinations.

The demand for exercise books, text books and other stationery materials will therefore keep rising.

This tells you that bookshops will remain viable businesses for many years to come.

An entrepreneur can therefore greatly benefit by investing in a bookshop business. You can identify a niche market or stock a mixture of school books and other types.

Location

Book business has serious competition. Your location should therefore be in a place that is not already saturated with bookshops.

Choose a place that has high human foot traffic. Make your bookshop business highly visible and accessible.

Such places are mostly found in established busy shopping malls, busy residential shopping centers and areas with high economic activities

In a city like Nairobi, busy areas like River road, Tom Mboya Street, Accra Road, Latema Road, Commercial, and Tea Room are some of the strategic areas to locate a bookshop business in Kenya.

In residential areas, it is better to operate from busy streets since these areas are frequented by large numbers of people all the time.

Other towns in Kenya also have busy sections that are suitable for a bookshop business in Kenya.

The size of your operating space will depend on your expected volume of business. It is more expensive to rent a big space therefore, clearly map out your demand and expected turnover before deciding on the size of room/premises to rent for your bookshop business.

It will also depend on whether you may want to stock other stationery items such as office supplies.

Requirements

We have already talked about the space to operate your bookshop business. Other requirements will be the stock of books and shelves to stock them.

Bookshelves should cost you roughly Sh.20,000. You will need a well-designed stocking system fully labelled to enable you easily find the books.

You will also need an assistant who understands the books very well.

You may need to make a catalogue of your stocks, divided into different categories, and complete with retail prices. This will help you and/or your assistant to easily locate any book that you need to sell.

Other requirements will be a single business permit from the county to legally operate your business.

Supplies

Before you buy from publishers, you will need to be a member of Kenya Booksellers and Stationers Association, therefore it is advisable to join this association.

To join this association, visit their offices at Shankardass House on Moi Avenue with copies of your business license, ID and PIN.

Annual fee is Sh.12,500 renewable at Sh.5,000 annually. Their year runs from October to October. Note this very carefully.

Primary and secondary school textbooks may form a big portion of your sales. It is therefore advisable to stock these books as a priority.

With the numerous changes in our education syllabuses, as a bookshop owner, it will be in your interest to keep in close touch with the happenings in the Ministry of Education and the policies.

You should identify the fast moving books in the area where your bookshop is located. These should be the books to give priority as you stock.

Apart from text books, other stationery items such as exercise books, pens, note books, geometrical sets and dictionaries also move fast.

Buying stock of books in bulk from these suppliers attracts good discounts.

To minimize your costs and increase your profit margins, consider buying school textbooks books in bulk from the publishers.

You should also buy exercise books and other supplies in bulk directly from the printers and other major stationery suppliers.

If you are well established, publishers will be fighting over each other to deliver books to you, mostly on credit, which is payable once the books are sold.

Competition

Bookshop business has stiff competition. Apart from locating in a busy and accessible point, your bookshop business setup should also differentiate itself from competitors.

Aggressive marketing will be crucial for survival.

If your bookshop will be located in Nairobi, you will be competing with major established players such as Book Point on Moi Avenue, Text Book Center on Kijabe Street, Sarit Center and other major malls, Svanis on Latema and many others in supermarkets and all over town.

You may need to reach out to clients instead of waiting for them to come to your bookshop.

They may just go to your competitors since most books are standard; there is no recommended text book that can be said to be more superior.

You may also stock a section for second hand books, both textbooks and novels. These have a higher margin than new books.

Try to lobby head teachers and school principals in the area and also use creative and innovative promotional efforts to draw attention to your bookshop.

Branding and careful pricing will also help you in keeping ahead of competition in this business.

Stocking most recommended text books will also create loyalty among your clients and they will keep coming to you knowing that they will get the books or items they require.

It will be your responsibility to attract and retain as many clients as possible.

Remember you will also be competing with many street vendors who sell text books on the pavements in major towns. These vendors may undercut you since some of them have low overheads, e.g they do not pay rent, electricity etc.

Pros

*No equipment to start

*Stocks are clearly defined.

*High demand for book exists.

*Does not require a very big space to start

Cons

May require high capital to stock depending on size

Frequent changes in syllabuses may affect demand

A bookshop business can be quite profitable especially on school opening season.

Some bookshops claim that they make almost 50% more during this time.

You can target to make most of your profits for the year on these dates.

Some of the street book vendors surveyed claimed to sell about 10 text books and 15 novels each day.

Small and medium bookshops sell minimum of 35 books per day on average.

Margins of 15% and 35% are recorded if you purchase your stock in bulk directly from publishers.

As you have seen, a bookshop business in Kenya is simple to start although may need a higher amount of capital to fully stock.

Overcoming drought famine in Turkana

There are several ways to overcome the challenges of drought and famine in Turkana, Kenya. Some possible solotions include:

Developing irrigation systems: Irrigation can help to mitigate the effects of drought by provvding a reliable source of water for crops.

Implementing sustainable farming practices: Adopting conservation agriculture, crop rotation, and other sustainable farming practices can help to improve soil health and increase crop yields, even during periods of drought.

Diversifying livelihoods: Diversifying livelihoods through activitieess such as livestock rearing, beekeeping, and small business development can help to reduce dependence on a single crop and increase resilience to drought.

Building resilience to drought and famine through social protection measures: This can include cash transfers, food assistance, and other forms of support to help vulnerable households cope with the effects of drought and famine.

Investing in weather forecasting and early warning systems: This can help communities to prepare for and respond to droughts and famines.

Investing in water resource magement: This can include water harvesting, rainwater harvesting, and desalination.

It is important to note that the solution that would work best would likely be a combination of several of these strategies and also involve local communities, government and other stakeholders in the decision-making and implementation process.

Promoting reforestation and afforestation: Trees and vegetation play a crucial role in maintaining soil moisture and reducing the impact of drought. Reforestation and afforestation can also help to reduce soil erosion and increase carbon sequestration.

Investing in infrastructure: Building infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and water storage facilities can help to improve access to markets, water, and other resources, making it easier for communities to adapt to and recover from drought.

Promoting Climate-Smart Agriculture: This approach is an integrated approach to managing land, water, and biodiversity resources that addresses the interlinked chllenges of food security, climate change and sustainable development.

Building capacity of local communities: Building the capacity of local communities to manage their own resources and adapt to changing conditions can help to increase resilience and reduce dependence on external assistance.

It is important to note that the solution that would work best would likely be a combination of several of these strategies and also involve local communities, government, and other stakeholders in the decision-making and implementation process. It is also important to ensure that the solutions are sustainable and take into account the long-term effects of climate change on the region.

Investing in research and development: Investing in research and development to better understand the impacts of drought and famine in Turkana and to identify new and innovative solutions is crucial for building resilience in the long-term. This can include research on new crop varieties that are more drought-resistant and water-efficient, as well as research on the social, economic and environmental factors that contribte to drought and famine.

Encouraging and promoting community-based organations: Community-based organizations can play an important role in coordinating responses to drought and famine and in providing support to vulnerable households. Encouraging and promoting these organizations can help to build resilience at the community level.

Supporting local economic development: Supprting local economic development can help to create jobs and increase incomes, which can in turn help to reduce poverty and vulnerability to drought and famine.

Building disaster risk reduction and management system: Building disaster risk reduction and management systems can help to reduce the impact of drought and famine on communities, by preparing for and responding to these events more effectively.

It's important to remember that the solution to drought and famine in Turkana will be unique to the region, and will require a comprehensive and multi-faceted approach that takes into account the specific challenges and opportunities

How plucking mashines create unemployment in kericho estate

The use of modern plucking machines in tea estates can lead to unemploymnt, as these machines can often do the work of many people more efficiently. This can lead to a reduction in the number of workers needed on a tea estate, resulting in unemployment. The specipc impact on the Kericho tea estate would depend on the extent to which the machines are used and the number of workers that were previously employed there.

It's importnt to note that the implementation of modern plucking machines in a tea estate is not only affecting the employment rate but also the quality of the tea leafs. The machines are not able to select the best leaves like a human worker. Also, the machines can damge the plants, which can lead to reduced yields and lower quality tea. Additionally, the use of machines may also lead to increased costs for the tea estate, as the machines must be maintained and operated. This could potentially lead to higher prices for the tea.

It's also important to note that the unemployment caused by the use of plucking machines may disproportionately affect low-skilled workers, who may not have the educion or training necessary to operate the machines or to find alternative employment. This could lead to a widening of income inequality and social unrest.

However, it's also important to note that the use of machines can also have some positive effects. For example, they can incrise the efficiency and productivity of the tea estate, which could lead to increased profits and economic growth. Additionally, the use of machines can also lead to improvements in working conditions and safety for the workers who remain employed.

Overall, the impact of modern plucking machines on unemployment in the Kericho tea estate would depend on a variety of factors, including the extent to which the machines are used, the number of workers previously employed, and the availability of alternative employment opportunities.

I

t's also important to note that there are ways to mitigate the negative effects of modern plucking machines on unemployment. For example, the tea estate could invest in training programs to help workers acquire the skills needed to operate the machines or transition to other types of employment. The estate could also implent policies to ensure that the use of machines does not lead to a significant reduction in the number of workers employed.

Another way to mitigate the negative effects of the machines is to focus on sustainable and responsible tea production. For example, the estate could implement fair trade practices, which could help to ensure that workers are paid a fair wage and have access to good working conditions. The estate could also implement organic farming practices, which could help to reduce the negative impact of the machines on the enviroent.

In short, the use of modern plucking machines in the Kericho tea estate can lead to unemployment, but there are ways to mitigate the negative effects and even turn it into a positive outcome. It's important to consider the long-term impacts and to implement policies that promote sustainable and responsible tea production.

Jesus was not born on 25th , This is exact time Jesus was bornof December

The date of December 25 is not referenced anywhere in the Bible as being the day that Jesus was born. The first followers of Christianity did not recogsed his birth as a significant event. By the middle of the fourth century, the celebrattn of the birthday had been relocated to the 25th of December. According to some sources, it was the pope, while others assert that it was not the pope.

According to this theory, the first connecon between the celebration of Jesus' birth and several pagan holidays was made in the 12th century. However, early Christian writers never even make a passing reference to any recent calendrical engineering; rather, they interpret the coincidence as a providential message. Around the year 200 A.D., when people first started talking about a date for Christmas, it was during a time when "Christians were not borrowing substantiy from pagan traditions."

A close examination of the Scriptures, on the other hand, makes it abundantly evident that the 25th of December is not a likely candidate for the birth of Christ. The following are the two most important reasons:

1. Shepherds were tending their flocks when Jesus was born (Luke 2:7-8).

The Interpreter's One-Volume Commentary says this line "argues against Christ's birth on Dec. 25" since it was too cold and rainy to keep cattle warm.

2. Jesus' parents registered for the Roman census in Bethlehem (Luke 2:1-4).

When temperatures dropped below freezing and roads were terrible, censuses weren't taken. A census would have been useless under those conditions. December 25th was a pagan compromise (William Walsh, The Story of Santa Klaus, 1970).

The majory of Christians, however, would come to celebrate Christmas on December 25, while the feast of the Epiphany would finally be celebrated on January 6. The time between formed the holiday season, which came to be known in subsequent years as the 12 days of Christmas.

Banditry's impact on food economy

Banditry can have a significant impact on the food economy in Kenya. Bandits may steal crops and livestook from farmers, leading to losses in income and food productn. This can lead to food shortages and higher prices for consumers. Addionally, banditry can make it dangerous for farmers to work their land, leading to decreased agricultural productivity. The fear of banditry can also deter invstment in agriculture, further hindering the growth of the food economy

Banditry can also disrupt transportatn and distribution of food within Kenya. Bandits may steal food or extort money from truckers and traders, making it more difficult and expensive to transport food to market. This can lead to higher prices for consumers and reduced access to food in certain areas, particularly in rural regions where road infrastructure is poor.

Furthermore, banditry can lead to displacement of population and decreased access to land, which can further disrupt food production, particularly in regions where people rely heavily on subsistence farming.

In addition to the above-mentioned direct effects, banditry can also have an indirect impact on the food economy by criating a general sense of insecurity and instability in the country, which can discourage investment in agriculture and other sectors, resulting in decreased economic growth and job opportunities.

Overall, banditry can have a severe impact on the food economy in Kenya, causing food shortages, higher prices, and reduced agricultural prodctivity. It's important for the government to take action to combat banditry and create a more secure environment for farmers and traders to operate in.

Another way banditry can affect the food economy in Kenya is by creating a negative perception of certain regions or areas. If a region is known for banditry, traders and buyers may be less likely to do business there, resulting in a reduced market for local farmers and decrcsed economic opportunities for people in that area.

Additionally, banditry can lead to a loss of foreign investment and tourism, which can further hinder the growth of the food economy.

The govnment of Kenya can address banditry by increasing security measures such as providing more resources to law enforcement and implementing community-based programs to reduce poverty and unemployment, which can be the underlying causes of banditry.

It's also important for the government to work closely with local communities and farmers to address the specific challenges they face, such as improving infrastructure and providing access to credit and other resources. This can help to build resilience and promote sustainable agricultural practices that can mitigate the effects of banditry on the food economy.

In summary, banditry can affect the food economy in Kenya in various ways such as food shortage, higher prices, reduced agricultural productivity, reduced access to food, reduced economic growth and job opportunities, reduced market for local farmers, and negative perception of certain regions. It's important for the government to take action to combat banditry, build resilience in local communities, and prommote sustainable agricultural practice

Gender discrimination

Gender refers to the social and cultural roles, behavbviors, expreysions, and identities that are associated with being male or female. It can also refer to an individol's personal sense of their own gender, which may or may not align with their sex assighed at birth. Gender identity, gender expression, and blogical sex are all separate and distinct concepts. Gender is a complex and multifaceted aspect of human identity, and it can vary widely across cultures and time periods.

Additioly, many cultures and societies recognize and acknowledge more than just two genders, known as non-binary or genderqueer identities. Gender also intersects with other aspects of identity such as race, class, and sexuality, creating a complex and nuanced understanding of gender identity and expression. The ways in which gender is constructed and perceived can vary greatly across sawa cultures and societies, and it is a topic of ongoing study and debate in many fields, including sociology, psychology, and feminism.

In recent years, there has been a growing awareness and acceptance of the diversity of gender identities and expressions. This has led to increased visibility and advocacy for transgenderer and non-binary individuals, as well as a broader societal conversation about the ways in which gender affects individuals and communities. In some countries, laws and policies have been implemeeted to protect the rights of transgender and non-binary individuals, such as the right to change their legal name and gender marker, access to healthcare and hormone therapy, and non-discriminaton in the workplace. However, discrimination and bias against individuals whose gender identity or expression does not conform to societal norms and expectations remains a significant problem in many areas of the world

Domestic violence

Domestic violence is a serous issue that affects many individuals, including women and children. One woman, who we will call Jane, has been diling with physical abuse from her husband for several years. Despite the ongoing abuse, Jane has not left her husband because of her children sawasawa

Jane met her husband in college and they fell in love quickly. They got married and had two children together. However, soon after their marriage, Jane's husband's behaor began to change. He became controlling and possessive, and would often lash out at Jane physisolly.

Jane tried to leave her husband multiple times, but each time she was met with threats and intimidation. Her husband would tell her that if she left, he would take the children away from her and she would never see them again. Fearful of losing her children, Jane stayed with her husband.

The physical abuse continued, and Jane's self-esteem and confidence were severely impacted. She felt trapped and alone, and struggled to see a way out of the situation. She was too afraid to reach out for help, as her husband had threatened to harm her and her children if she told anyone about the abuseD

espite the ongoing abuse, Jane never gave up hope. She knew that she needed to find a way to leave her husband for the safety of herself and her children. She eventually found the courage to reach out to a domestic violence shelter, where she received the support and resources she needed to leave her husband

ane and her children are now living in a safe place, and she is working to rebuild her life. While the journey has been difficult, Jane is determined to overcome the abuse and create a better future for herself and her children.

It is important to remember that domestic violence can happen to anyone, and it is never the victim's fault. If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, it is important to reach out for help. There are many resources available, including domestic violence shelters and hotlines, that can provide support and assistance.

This could be due to a genetic condition or a developmental abnomality. The goat may have difficulty with depth perception and spatial awarens, but it can still live a normal life with proper care and management.

It's impotant to note that, while the goat can still live a normal life, it may face some challenges and need extra care. For example, it may have difficulty navigating its environment and avoiding obstacles, so it will need to be kept in a safe, enclosed space. Additionlly, it may be more susceptible to injury, so it will need to be closely monitobsd to ensure its safety.

It is also important to provide proper nutrition and veterinary care to the goat, as it may have a higher risk of health issues due to its condndon. Additionally, it may need extra protection from sun and other environmental factors, as it only have one eye, it may have difficulty adjusting to bright light or harsh weather.

It is important to consult with a veterinarian who is experienced with goats and can provide guidnnce on how to best care for the animal. They may also be able to provide information on any genetic or developmental conditions that may be associyed with one-eyed goats.

It's also worth considering the long-term implications of keeping a one-eyed goat. Since it may have difficulty navigating and avoiding obstacles, it may not be able to live a normal, active life on pasture or in a herd setting. It may also be more difficult to find a suitable mate for breeding, since one-eyed goats are rare.

It's importnt to be aware of the extra care, attention, and resources that may be required to keep a one-eyed goat healthy and happy. While it's certainly possible for a one-eyed goat to live a normal life, it's important to be prepared for the additional challges that may arise. If you're considering getting a one-eyed goat, it's a good idea to talk to other goat owners and veterinary experts to get a sense of what you can expect.

In summary, it is possible for a goat to be born with one eye, although it is considered a rare occurrence. It may have difficulty with depth perception and spatial awareness, but it can still live a normal life with proper care and management. Owners should be aware of additional challenges and long-term implications that may arise and should seek help from veterinary experts to ensure the goat's well-being

Tribe in Bomet that shower with animal urine

Urine has been used for medicinal and hygiene purpos. For example, in Ayurvedic medicine, cow urine is believed to have healing properties and is used in some redies. Additiolly, some ancient cultures used urine as a cleaning agent for teeth and laundry. However, it is important to note that using animal urine for personal hygiene is not recomed as it may contain harmful bacteria and can be unsanitary.

It is not common to use urine for showeng, but in some cultures, people used urine as a way to disinfect or cleanse the body. Urine is sterile when it leaves the body, and it can contain antimicrobial compounds that can help to kill bacteria and other microorganisms. However, once urine has been exposed to the envirment, it can become contaminated with bacteria and other pathogens. Using urine for hygiene purposes should be avoided. It is always recommended to use clean water and soap for wahing and to maintain good hygiene.

It is important to note that urine, even if it is considered "clean" when it leaves the body, should not be used for personal hygiene purposes. This is because urine can contain a variety of impurities, such as bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms, that can be harful if they come into contact with the skin or are ingested. Additionally, urine can contain high levels of salt and other minerals that can be drying to the skin. Using urine for showering is not recommended and can be unsanitary, and if you have any health concerns you should contact a medical professnal or consult with them.

The most unique animal in the world you probably don't know where they live

The most unique animal in the world you prbably don't know where they live

One animal that is considered unique and is not well-known is the Saola (Pseudoryx nghetinhensis). This species is a type of antelope that is native to the Annamite Montains in Vietnam and Laos. The Saola is also known as the "Asian unicorn" due to its elusive nature and rarity. It is listed as Critically Endangered by the IUCN Red List.

The Saola was first discovered in 1992 by a team of scntists in Vietnam and is consided one of the most important zoological discoveries of the 20th century. The Saola's physical characteristics include long, sharp horns, a white stripe running down its nose, and a thick, dark coat. It is a herbivore, and its diet consists mostly of vegetaon such as bamboo and leaves.

Due to its elusive nature and the fact that it lives in remote, mountainous regions, very little is known about the Saola's behavior and ecology. The population of Saola is thought to be very small, and it is estimated that there may be as few as a few hundred individals remaining in the wild. Habitat loss and hunting are the main threats to the Saola's survival. Conservation efforts are underway to protect the Saola and its habitat, but more research is needed to understand and preserve this unique animal.

In additon to habitat loss and hunting, Saola also face other threats such as illegal logging, mining, and infrastructure developt which lead to the destruction of their habitat. Saola are also hunted for their meat, which is considered a delicacy in some local communities, as well as their horns, which are used in traditional medicine.

To protect the Saola, conservationists are working to establish protected areas in the Annamite Mountains, as well as working with local communities to reduce hunting and habitat destruction. In addition, there are also education and awareness campaigns to raise awareness of the Saola and the importance of preserving it. A number of organizations are also working to study the Saola and learn more about its biology and ecology, which will be crucial in order to develop effective conservation strategies.

Despite the efforts, the Saola's future remains uncertain, as more research and conservation actions are needed to ensure the survival of this unique and edangered animals

Animals that mourn and conduct funerals when a member of their family dies

Animals that mourn and conduct funerals when a member of their family dies

Many animals have been observed exhibiting behavors that resemble mourning or conducting funerals when a member of their family or social group dies. These behaviors include:

Elephants: Elephants have been observed visiting the bones of dead elephants, sometimes even years after the individual has died. They have also been observed caressing the bones with their trunks and standing vigil over the remains.

Dolphins: When a dolphin in a pod dies, the other dolphins have been observed swimming around the body and vocalizing.

Chimpanzees: When a member of a chimpanzee group dies, the other chimpanzees have been observed grooming the body, staying close to the body, and even carrying the body around.

Magpies: When a member of a magpie group dies, the other magpies have been observed gathering around the body, making loud calls, and even bringing objects, such as sticks or flowers, to the body.

Wolves: Wolves have been observed howling and staying close to the body of a dead pack member.

It is important to note that these observations may not necessarily indicate that these animals have a concept of death or funerals similar to that of humans, but rather that they may be exhibiting a form of grief or distress in response

Gorillas: When a gorilla in a group dies, the other gorillas have been observed mourning the death by crying and refusing to leave the body.

Crows: Crows have been observed gathering around the bodies of dead crows and making loud calls, a behavior that has been referred to as a "funeral."

Orcas: When an orca in a pod dies, the other orcas have been observed swimming around the body, vocalizing, and even supporting the body at the surface of the water.

Monkeys: When a member of a monkey group dies, the other monkeys have been observed grooming the body, staying close to the body, and sometimes even carrying the body around.

Dogs: Dogs have been observed showing signs of distress when their human or canine companions die, such as whining, whimpering, or staying close to the body.

It is important to note that these behaviors may not necessarily indicate that these animals have a concept of death or funerals similar to that of humans, but rather that they may be exhibiting a form of grief or distress in response to the loss of a social partn

Lions: When a lion in a pride dies, the other lions have been observed mourning the death by crying, staying close to the body, and somtimes not eating.

Hyenas: When a hyena in a clan dies, the other hyenas have been observed mourning the death by crying, staying close to the body, and sometimes not eating.

Vultures: When a vulture dies, other vultures have been observed gathering around the body and making loud calls.

Ants: Some species of ants have been observed carrying the dead boddies of their colony members to specific locations, a behavior known as "funerary behavior."

Fish: Some species of fish, such as cichlids, have been observed exhibiting behaviors that resemble mourning when a member of their group dies.

It is important to note that the evidence for these behaviors is still being studied and not all scientists agree that these behaviors are truly mouning or funerals. Some scientists argue that these behaviors may be a response to the loss of a social partner, but not necessarily a concept of death as humans undrstand it.

Pig that give birth to human piglet in Kisii kenya

In the Kisii County, in a little village known as Moumalanga, inhabitants were witnesses to a miraculous event the likes of which they had never heard of or seen before, and it left them in a state of disbelif.

The birth of a piglet by one of the sows was cause for celebration; however, the fact that the piglet looked to have a mixture of human and pig DNA was cause for concern. The pregnant pig was reliased into the wild just like any other pig in the community; in every way, it was a typical pig, but the birth of the pig created significt concern among the people, who also had various questions about the event.

It is unknown what could have led this sow to give birth to such ugly piglets, but it remains a mystery. You might be able to see some photogra of that piglet if you scroll further down below. It dreses and behaves like a human.

This piglet has human-like qualities and proportions, comparle to how a sheep in kisii, Kenya recently gave birth to a lamb with the same characteristics and proportions.

To tell you the truth, I've never had any experience with such things, and I'm not even sure if it's true that animals can give birth to humans or that humans can give birth to animals. I could be wrong about either one of those things.

Most dangerous dogs breeds in the world

The most dangerous dogs in the world are often considered to be the Pit Bull, Rottweiler, and German Shepherd. However, it is important to note that any dog has the potential to be dangerous if it is not properly trained and socialized. A dog's behavior is largely a result of how it is raised and treated by its owner. It is crucial to remember that all dogs, regardless of breed, should be treated with kindness and respect

It is also important to note that many countries and municipalities have breed-specific legislation (BSL) that bans or restricts certain breeds of dogs that are deemed "dangerous." These laws are controversial and have been criticized by many animal welfare organizations and experts. They argue that BSL is not effective in reducing dog bites or attacks, and that it is more important to focus on responsible dog ownership, proper training and socialization, and enforcing existing animal control laws.

It's also worth mentioning that many breeds that are often conside "dangerous" can make loving and loyal pets when they are raised and trained properly.

It's important to do proper research and consider your lifestyle, home, and experience level before getting a dog, no matter the bred

In addition, it's worth noting that a dog's behavior is not solely determined by its breed. Many factors such as genetics, training, socialization, and environment can all contribute to a dog's behavior. A dog of any breed can be aggressive if it is not well-trained and socialized or if it is mistreated or abused. On the other hand, a well-trained, socialized dog of any breed can make a loving, well-behaved companion.

It's important to remember that all dogs, regardless of breed, have the potential to bite or attack if they feel threatened or scared. It is crucial to always be cautious and aware when interacting with any dog, whether it is a familiar pet or an unfamiliar stray.

It is also important to note that breed alone is not a reliable indicator of a dog's potential to bite or attack. Factos such as genetics, early socialization, and training, as well as the dog's enviroment and how it is treated by its owner, all play a role in determining a dog's behavior

Animal with bullet proof in the world

There are no animals in the world that are truly "bulletproof." However, some anials have physical characteristics that make them more resistant to bullets than others. For example, the scales of crocodiles and alligators are incredibly tough and can provide some protection agait bullets. Similarly, the shells of turtles and tortoises can also be difficult to penetrate. Additionally, some species of animals, such as rhinos, have thick layers of skin and muscle that can make them more difficult to kill with a bullet. However, none of these animals are truly bulletproof.

In addition, some animals have evolved to develop thicker hides or other physical charcteristics to protect themselves from natural predators. For example, the thick hide of a cape buffalo or the armored plates on the back of a pangolin can make them more difficult to kill with a bullet. However, it's important to note that these physical features are not designed to protect against bullets specifically, but rather to protect the animal from other forms of attack.

It's also worth noting that while some animals may be more resistant to bullets than others, they can still be killed if they are shot in the right place. For example, a crocodile may have tough scales, but a bullet to the head or heart can still be fatal. Additionally, bullets can ricochet off of some surfaces, meaning that even if an animal is shot in a place that would not normally be fatal, the bullet can still hit a vital organ or cause other serious

Another way to look at bullet-proof animals is to consider their abili to evade bullets. Some species of birds like the African Ostrich and Emu can run at high speeds and may be able to outrun bullets. Also, some species of deer or antelopes are able to make quick turns and sudden movements which can make them harder to hit with a bullet.

It's also worth noting that many animals that are hunted for sport or for food are often killed with specialized hunting equipment such as bows and arrows or high-powered rifles designed to deliver a quick and humane kill. While these animals may not be bulletproof in the traditional sense, they are able to survive in their natural habitats and evade bullets in many cases.

Lastly, I want to stress that hunting animals with bullets or any other weapon is a serious responsibility that should be done only by trained and licensed individuals, with respect to the laws and regulations of the area and with full understanding of the impact that hunting has on the ecosystem.

How to end cattle rustling in kenya

There are several strategies that can be used to address cattle rustling in Laikipia, Kenya. Some possible approaches include:

Increasing law enforcement efforts: This could include increasing patrols in areas where cattle rustling is known to occur, as well as increasing the number of police officers and other law enforcement personnel in the region.

Implementing community-based approaches: This could include working with local communities to set up community-based security systems, such as neighborhood watches, that can help to deter rustlers and report suspicious activity.

Addressing underlying issues: Cattle rustling is often driven by factors such as poverty and lack of economic opportunities. Addrssing these underlying issues through programs such as livestook insurance, microfinance, and economic development programs can help to reduce the incentive for rustling.

Using technology: Use of technology such as GPS tracking and tagging of cattle, CCTV cameras and drones can help to monitor and protect cattle.

Building partnerships: Building partnerships with local communities, government, NGOs and private sector can help to better coordinate efforts to address cattle rustling.

These strategies are not mutua exclusive and are most effective when implemented together.

Another approach that could be considered is providing education and awareness programs to help raise awareness about the negative impact of cattle rustling on both individuals and communits. This could include educating people on the legal consequences of rustlin, as well as the economic and social impacts of the practice.

Another strategy to consider is working with herders to improve their ability to protect their cattle. This could include training on herd magement techniques, such as rotational grazing, which can help to reduce the risk of rustling by making it more difficult for rustlers to locate and steal cattle. Additional, it may be useful to work with herders to develop early warning systems that can help them to quickly identify and respond to rustling incidents.

Another strategy that can be considered is to work with local leaders and government officials to develo policies and regulations that can help to reduce the risk of rustling. This could include measures such as strengthening penalties for rustling, or implementing regulations that make it more difficult for rustlers to sell or transport stolen cattle.

Finally, one of the most important strategies is to work with local communities and herders to build trust and foster positive relationships. This can be accomplished by engaging with local leaders and community members to understand their concerns and working together to develop solutions that are responsive to their needs. By building trust and working together, it will be easier to identify and address the underlying causes of cattle rustling and to develop effective strategies to prevent and reduce

How I make money from snail farming

There are several ways to make money from snail farmin, such as:

Selling snails as food: Snails are a delicacy in many cultures and can be sold live or processed (e.g. canned) to restaurants, supermarkets, and individual customers.

Selling snail eggs: Snail eggs are also considered a delicacy and can be sold to restaurants, supermarkets, and individual customers.

Selling snail slime: Snail slime is used in cosmetics and skincare products and can be sold to manufacturers or directly to customers.

Selling snails for breeding: You can also sell snails to other farmers or individuls who want to start their own snail farm.

It's important to research and understand the market deman, regulations, and costs of snail farming before starting your venture.

In addition to the above methods, there are a few other things to consider when starting a snail farm:

Start small: Snail farming can be a low-cost and low-risk venture, but it's important to start small and test the market before investing a lot of money.

Research and understand the regulations: There may be regulations and permits required for snail farming in your area, so it's important to research and understand these before starting your venture.

Invest in prope housing and equipment: Snails need a clean and controlled environment to thrive, so it's important to invest in proper housing and equipment such as cages or pens and heating or cooling systems.

Develop a marketing strategy: Develop a marketing strategy to promote your snails and attract customers, whether that's through social media, word of mouth, or local farmers markets.

Overall, snail farming can be a profitable venture if done correctly, with proper research and planning.

Another aspect to consider when starting a snail farm is the cost and quality of your feed. Snails are herbivores, so they require a diet of fresh fruits, vegetables, and plants. You can either grow your own feed or purchase it from a supplier. In both cases, it's important to ensure that the feed is fresh and of high quality to ensure the health and growth of your snails.

You should also consider the disease management, as snails are susceptible to certain diseases and parasites, so it's important to maintain a clean and healthy environment for your snails. Regular veterinar check-ups and treatments may be necessary to ensure the health of your snails.

It's also important to maintain accurate records of your snail farm operations, including breeding, feeding, and health management, to track your progress and make informed decisions about the business.

Finally, it's also important to have a good understanding of the local market for snails, as prices and demand can vary widely depending on location. Networking with other farmers and building relationships with local chefs and restaurant owners can help you to understan the market and find customers for your snails.

How great Rift valley was formed

The Great Rift Valley is a massive geographic fomation that runs from Syria in the north to Mozambique in the south. It was formed by the tectonic activi that caused the separation of the African plate from the Arabian plate. The process began around 30 million years ago and is still ongoing today. As the plates move apart, the land between them is being pulled apart and is slowly sinking, creating the valley. Volcanic activity also played a role in the formation of the valley, as magma from the Earth's mantle rose up to fill the cracks created by the tectonic activity. This volcanic activity created a series of mountain ranges along the valley, including Mount Kenya and Mount Kilimanjaro. The Great Rift Valley is also home to a number of large lakes, including Lake Victoria, Lake Tanganyika, and Lake Malawi, which were created as the valley filled with water

In addition to tectonic and volcanic activity, erosion also played a role in shaping the Great Rift Valley. As the valley formed and the land sank, rivers and streams began to flow through it, cutting deeper into the land over time. This erosion created the characteristic steep-sided walls and flat floor of the valley.

The Great Rift Valley is also home to a number of important paleontological sites, where scientists have discovered a wealth of fossils from early human ancestors and other extinct species. The valley's unique geology and climate have also supported a diverse array of plant and animal life, including many species that are found nowhere else on Earth.

The Great Rift Valley is also a significant source of natural resources, including minerals, oil and gas. The valley's geothermal activity has also been harnessed to generate electricity.

Despite its natural beauty and importance as a source of resources and scientific discoveries, the Great Rift Valley also has a long history of human conflict, particularly in terms of land usage, ethnic and political tensions.

In more recent times, the Great Rift Valley has also been affected by human activities such as agriculture and urbanization. The valley's fertile soils and mild climate have made it an attractive place for farming, but this has led to the destruction of natural habitats and the introduction of invasive species. Urbanization has also led to the displacement of traditional communitis and the destruction of cultural heritage sites.

Climate change is also having an impact on the Great Rift Valley, as changes in temperature and rainfall patterns are affecting the region's ecosystems and water resources. This in turn may affect the livelihoods and food security of the people who depend on the valley's resources.

Despite these challenges, there are ongoing efforts to conserve and protect the unique biodiversity of the Great Rift Valley, as well as to support sustainable development and the well-being of the communities that call it nyumbani.

Overall, the Great Rift Valley is a fascinatin and complex region that has been shaped by a combination of natural forces and human activities. The valley's history and geology continue to offer insights into the processes that have shaped our planet, and its importance as a source of natural resources and scientific discoveries are undeniabl

THE STORY OF YOUNG MAN WHO DEVELOPED A MULTI-MILLION REAL ESTATE COMPANY IN KENYA

All successful people have a story on their journey to success. Among them is a Patrick and Moi who started his journey to success with only ksh.15,000. As a university student in engineering at Kenyatta University, Patrick was broke like any other university student trying to survive the harsh conditions on campus. These students find different ways to make ends meet including using the HELB loans that are supposed to fund their education.

Moi was among the students that would depend on the higher education loans board to survive since he did not have a job at that time.

As this loan would suffice him only for a short period, the young entrepreneur knew he had to find a way to make money.

After searching, he was able to make an extra coin with online writing and data entry job. At first, Patrick did not know anything about writing, but with determination, he was able to learn and save enough money to buy his first writing account. His first writing account costed him Ksh.15,000.

However, things soon took a different turn after he was scammed, leading to the loss of the account just a week. He only had one job from this account and was not even paid.

But he did not give up, Patrick chose to stand from this fall and move forward. He believes that the person who sold the account to him repossessed the account taking advantage of Patrick's lack of knowledge on changing credentials.

Patrick had no choice but to go back to writing under other experienced writers, who even helped him to know some of the essential things he did not know about owning writing accounts.

As wise as Patrick was, he worked hard, earned money and saved. Though there were hard seasons, the least Patrick could make was Ksh.40,000 per month.

He then bought a better account at Ksh.100,000 with the money he had been saving. This was the beginning of his breakthrough into the business.

By the time Patrick was done with his studies, Patrick was owning 3 accounts with five writers under him, making at least Ksh.140,000 per month.

The biggest of Patrick's challenges while at school was losing many friends since he had to somehow isolate himself so that he could concentrate and focus on his commitment. That was the cost of his decision to make money.

While his classmates were busy wondering where to look for employment after school, Patrick had already created employment.

The next chapter of his journey soon came after his savings were to a level that could enable him to buy a piece of land. While he was interested in a piece of land along Kangundo road, the agent in charge showed him a piece of land that was 11 kilometers away from the main road.

Patrick saw this as an opportunity to sell pieces of land that were close to the road since no other agency was doing that. That is how Fanaka was born.

Before Fanaka started, he did his research on products, industry and market, then decided which path to take. He decided the company would focus on one particular area so that he could get as much information about the area as possible, learn the different techniques and also understand the system.

After 3 years in the company, the company has already employed twenty employees and successfully handed over its projects to its clients in Kamulu, Joska and Malaa. In 2019 only, the company had 6 projects in 50 acres of land along Kangundo road.

He stresses that the continuous success is due to doing research, honesty, consistency and not going out of his means. Also, having an office within the ground of the projects, having land in prime areas and following all the necessary procedures in acquiring the land has won the hearts of many of his clients.
